Street Pride Programme

Would you like to give your Avondale shop front a bit of TLC, but don’t have the funds to get started?  The Avondale Business Association can assist with moving these projects forward.

The business association has set aside funding towards the cost of street facing renovations for its BID members, which includes but is not limited to:

• General Maintenance

• Outdoor painting

• Signage Upgrades

• Purchase of outdoor fixtures (seating, planter boxes, etc.)

In this way, we hope to help Avondale businesses and landlords get started with much-needed improvements by offering up to 50% of the costs associated with these works.

Terms & Conditions

  • The works can only be applied to premises that pay the Business Improvement District Targeted Rate within Avondale.

  • Work must be visible from the road.

  • This is a discretionary fund.  Your application is not guaranteed. There is limited budget each year for this programme; once funds are exhausted applications will be put on hold or cancelled.

  • Funds will only be considered in advance of work.  Please let us know if there is a time restriction to your request.

  • The Association holds no responsibility for work completed.  Any warranty requests must be sent to the contractor involved.

  • Quality Control:  The association may request to view artwork, e.g. for signage, in advance of approval to ensure a high standard is maintained.
